Initial attendance figures for SummerSlam are reported to be over 81,000, breaking Sun Life Stadium records. The crowd was said to be very active and electric throughout the entire night.
Show vs Styles feud to happen soon? |
The ending of the Shock Chamber match was said to be the formal way to write Big Show off of WWE for the time being, while he goes off to finish filming his new movie, while also keeping Big Show strong. Big Show dominating the Shock Chamber was also the plan from the start, with the ending always being that he would lose in a logical fashion that doesn't make him look weak. My sources also tell me this will push Big Show straight to the WWE title picture when he returns, regardless if AJ is still champion or not.
Poe wins, but will he still be released? |
Kane has received some backstage heat from his match with Zack Poe. The original ending going into the match was that the "Kill the Poelice" members would put out the fire and Kane and Poe would brawl some outside the ring, with Kane pulling out his old "hook" that he used to carry around and he would go on to choke out Poe and follow it up with a tombstone for the pinfall victory. The 'Kill the Poelice' guys would then carry Poe off. But the ending was different, whereas Kane tapped out and Poe went over. The only people that knew about this literal last minute change were Kane and referee Chad Snyder. Whether Kane will go unpunished or not remains to be seen. As for Poe, my sources tell me that tomorrow's RAW will indeed be the end of his current run with WWE. How they will write Poe off, I have not been told.
Paige, dawn of new Divas Division? |
The ending of the Divas ladder match at SummerSlam saw Paige make her debut to the main roster and cost Brie Bella the Divas Championship. I've been told that Paige will NOT be joining the Holy Trinity or aligning herself with Harley in any way. This will most likely lead to a triple threat feud with for the Divas Championship between Harley, Brie, and Paige, or branch out into two different Divas feuds.
Returns when? |
Recent reports say that Anthony Chandler's contract with WWE expired Sunday night. I can confirm with close sources that this is indeed true, and Chandler has left the company. He was said to leave on decent terms with the company, but when he will come back remains to be seen.
On the backstage fallout of SummerSlam, Kurt Angle challenged Rob Van Dam to an ECW title match at Heat Wave on Wednesday. On Twitter, RVD accepted, confirming reports of RVD's return to the company.
CM Punk engaged to Paige, turning heel? |
Sources close to me have said that a CM Punk heel turn is coming soon. So soon in fact, that it could happen on the September 2nd addition of RAW.
Heel Turn? |
Batista's post match attack on Rey Mysterio garnered a big reaction backstage, but I'm told it is not a full heel turn, at least not yet. It was a way to elevate the Batista and Rey Mysterio storyline that will take off in the coming weeks. Currently, I'm being told that either Rey Mysterio or Batista will get challenge Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship at Ground Zero.
The Beast slays God, but what's next? |
Paul Star is currently in the hospital, in kayfabe and out, suffering from multiple (some minor, some more serious than others) injuries from last nights match against Lesnar. Star getting stretchered out after the match was a way to write him off TV for the time being. What Lesnar will do next, remains to be seen, but my sources say that he will be going into other feuds until Star returns and they resume their feud. In the end, the plan is for Lesnar to have the last word.
Edge vs Hayden rematch announced for RAW. |
Update on Rock, HBK, Austin |
The main event of SummerSlam saw The Rock defeat Shawn Michaels in an Iron Man match. After the match, Stone Cold made his return and laid out The Rock to close the show. This is said to be leading to a Rock and Austin feud in the near future. As for HBK, my sources tell me he will be turning face.
That's not all for rumors, expect more before RAW as there is a lot to report about.
