Major star getting a depush? Another star leaving?, Cesaro debuts, and more

WWE has released three new posters for the third annual Riot Night. Here they are:

Zack Poe

Batista
Hayden Saxby

The former and longest reigning NXT Champion, Antonio Cesaro, finally made his main roster debut on SmackDown. He attacked the European Champion, Eellis, and a SummerSlam match was announced shortly after.

Regarding recent reports of Sheamus' future in WWE, I can confirm that Sheamus will continue to stay as one of the top superstars in the WWE. WWE feels he's drawn just as much heat as Big Show and Randy Orton did during their times as champion. WWE is looking to focus more on the UK Stable in the future, but as of now nothing major is planned for the stable.
Brucie's Opinion: It's a good idea to keep Sheamus up there. I didn't expect him to get so big, after all they did almost put him in a permanent tag team with Scott Steiner...

The backstage reaction to Mr. Kennedy's promo on SmackDown last week was said to be electric. People backstage felt it was his best promo yet. There is no heat between Alan Snyder and Mr. Kennedy, despite what the promo may have implied. This also marked the beginning of the new stable that was rumored back in January, 'The Avengers', which consist so far of Mr. Kennedy and The Miz. I'm getting word that a third guy would be introduced on RAW. I've been told it's either going to be Zarge or Joey Mercury. I've also learned that WWE is in talks with Jawez about a possible return so he can be in the stable.

WWE has purchased the rights for Total Divas from "E" Network and new episodes will begin filming and airing on the WWE Network this fall.

There are rumors floating around backstage that Anthony Chandler is possibly leaving WWE to pursue a career in Hollywood. After landing a string of successful roles, Chandler is possibly headed to Hollywood full-time. Chandler has said in past interviews that he's always wanted to be a wrestler and an actor, making this rumor more likely. My source tells me that if Chandler leaves WWE, it'd be more of a "break" than a permanent leave, considering Chandler is only 22 and still has decades left in the tank. Chandlers acting agent has declined to comment at all in this situation.

Brucie's Opinion: This is one of the more interesting things I've researched recently. But this does make a lot of sense. I mean, in an interview I posted here a month ago, Chandler said that he took the depush from WWE Champion to mid-carder for a lighter schedule and to "work with more people". It make sense that Chandler would take a lighter schedule and less work so he can balance both WWE and Hollywood at the same time. Where is Chandler right now? Busy filming TWO movies, the new "Justice League: Throne of Atlantis" animated film, and "Star Wars: The Clone Wars 2". So..I expect this to actually turn out to be true. How they will right off Chandler is a mystery to me, but will be interesting to see.

The Miz tweeted this photo of him as Kevin Frost on the set of "Snyder 2", and has confirmed that extra filming and post-production of the film has wrapped up. He also confirmed that the Blu-Ray edition of the film (that will release next year) will feature a special 20-minute "short movie" that will chronicle Kevin Frost in-between the events of Snyder 1 and 2.

Brock Lesnar is expected to get a push soon. There have been lots of talks about a possible WWE Title win for Lesnar this season.

WWE is expected to reveal the entire roster for WWE 2K15 at SummerSlam, along with more information on the game.

Huge backstage confrontation between top stars, Angle/Malenko, RAW Preview for 8/11, Live Event Results, more

Welcome back to WWERP Rumors! And here is what to expect for RAW on August 11:

- The return of Hulk Hogan, and I was told that a night-long celebration will occur. I was also told that there will be a major segment with Hulk Hogan and Alan Snyder about Hogan's future in the company, that will somehow involve Zack Poe.

- I was told about that contiuining his role as CEO, Snyder will announce a "series of" matches for the Shock Chamber. It's safe to assume that the concept will basically be multiple matches between the people in the chamber, and the person racking up the most wins gets to enter the Shock Chamber last.

- Of course, the follow-up to the well-received segment last week between Kane and Zack Poe. I didn't get an exact idea of what to expect from my source, because script changes happen hourly, but I guess I can tell you that the match stipulation for their match at SummerSlam will be announced.

What do I think of this...well, it should be a jammed pack RAW and I don't advise you miss it. I was personally disappointed in some segments last week, but the show last week was good, it's what I expected from a first show. See, WWE is better at going out with a bang than going in with a bang. All the good stuff usually comes mid-season (Season IV, NWO, Season III, Snyder vs Taker feud, ect) so I didn't expect much.

Two people who have been getting a lot of praise after their ECW match this week are Kurt Angle and Dean Manlenko. People expected a good match, but not a great one like they got on ECW, mostly due to Malenko's age. Malenko received a lot of preps complementing how he was able to go 20+ minutes with Angle at the age of 54. The match was named match of the week on several wrestling websites, and Angle went on Twitter to post it was one of his best matches in his career. WWE is looking to have a series of matches between the two, possibly culminating at WrestleMania (which is also rumored to be in Angles home state, more on that soon). Also, WWE is looking to give Angle another push, while keeping Malenko to put more people over and pull off more 5-star matches with younger talent and other veterans.
My opinion? I, BRUCE, personally loved the match and I can't wait to see what both Angle and Malenko do next. I think Angle has needed a legends push for a long time, considering guys like Cena, Alan, The Rock, ect have already gotten it. I would like to see Malenko tango with guys like Chandler, Star, Poe, and Saxby. He could make those guys look golden.

WWE is expected to officially announce their deal with Sony and more details on it in the coming weeks.

I got word of a big backstage argument between Alan Snyder, Matthew Ehlert, and Hayden Saxby. Appearently Ehlert was scheduled for a segment with Hayden on RAW, but actually skipped out on the show and decided to bail on it. When he came back the next day to the locker room, he got a mouthful from Saxby. Saxby ranted on about Matthew being a liablity and his constant missing shows lately during the off-season. Alan walked in and told both men to calm down, and all 3 of them talked it out before Matthew threw an insult involving Hayden "kissing his way up" to the top. Appearently Matthew explained him taking time off due to fatigue from the previous season and how he was forced to work off-season matches against his current contract. Hayden shouted more slurs and insults at Ehlerts way. Paul Star was in the next room, so he burst in and told all 3 of them to shut the hell up. Star and Hayden got into it for a minute before Alan finally shut the argument down.

My thoughts? Uhh, pretty insane. Ehlert missing out on shows due to "fatigue" is a pretty cowardly move. You've got guys like Alan who have been working non-stop for the past 4 seasons, with NO breaks whatsoever. Snyder worked the most matches in a single off-season this year (25). Maybe Ehlert just isn't ready for the top spot like Hayden said? I'm going to side with Hayden on this one. Fatigue, who cares? It's wrestling. You're pretty much "fatigued" after every match. I sense Matthew's future being into question after this, and it's probably the one reason why the rumors of him taking Poe's place are BS.

Eellis has granted his first ever wish for the Make-A-Wish foundation today. He let a young Welsh boy wear the European Title around his waist.

Here are the recent WWE live event results from Thursday, August 7-

- Carlito (w/ Ric Flair) defeated JBL.

WWE Comic Con 2014 Full Coverage!

WWE had their official comic con panel on Sunday, and I'm here with a full report!

Opening:

- Alan Snyder arrives and hangs out with fans. He takes selfies and talks to multiple people.

- Snyder gets on the stage and welcomes everyone to the panel. He says they're gonna have a lot of fun and then covers what they will be showing and he explains they have a few surprises as well.

- Zack Poe, Anthony Chandler, Eellis, and Paul Star come out to big reactions.

- They start off with questions. Paul Star gets asked his favorite food. He says it's pussy and everybody laughs.

- Anthony Chandler is asked about NXT and who he thinks is the breakout star there. Chandler says its Antonio Cesaro and goes on to say the most underrated guy on the roster is Dan Mendel.

- Zack Poe gets asked about working with Hogan. Poe says Hogan is a good man and fun to work with. He was about to say Hogan was his favorite WrestleMania opponent when Chandler coughed and him and Poe stared at each other. The crowd laughed at this.

- Eellis is asked about his US Title reign. He says he was supposed to hold the title until SummerSlam of that year but plans changed. Eellis looks over at Alan and they share a laugh with the crowd as well.

- Alan gets asked about filming Snyder 2. He says filming of Snyder 2 did less of a physical toll on him than filming of the first film did. He then gets asked about Snyder 3 and says his lips are sealed.

- Chandler gets asked about his favorite feud. He cites his feud with Chris Jericho and The Nexus.

- The superstars take more questions for another hour or so, before Alan stops the Q&A and announces he has something special for the crowd.

- We get a teaser trailer for SNYDER 3. The teaser starts with an overhead view of a forest. We get a closer view and see police searching the forest. They reach a swamp and then skid to a stop. We see a huge figure that looks like SNYDER...with a voice mask as well. The figure says SNYDER is his, and this is no longer a mission for the police. The figure turns around and it is revealed to be Antonio Snyder. The logo appears as the teaser ends and the crowd goes nuts from seeing this.

-We get an intermission and Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash arrive. They get on stage and cut an in-character promo about how WWE may have taken their jobs but they haven't taken their freedom. Hogan looks worried. Soon, Hogan gets in an argument with Nash and Hall. He says he has no problem with the WWE anymore. Nash and Hall try to jump Hogan but Hogan deals with them both and throws them both off the stage to big pops.

- Later on, we get a re-run of WWE's "Hunger Games" web series. After the showing, we get a preview of the next episode. The preview shows Hayden standing on a mountain. We see an arrow come at him in slow motion and he ducks under it. He turns around and we see Jonathan Ayers standing there with a bow and arrow. He lifts it up again, at Hayden's face, and the screen cuts out. This preview got a big pop.

- We go back to the stage and Alan Snyder is there. He talks about the oncoming season and says there will be major changes. He invites out Paul Heyman and Heyman comes out to a pop. Heyman goes on a speech and reintroduces ECW, which gets a huge pop out of the audience.

- Alan announces that ECW will air on Wednesdays at 6 PM on SyFy. He announces that ECW will not only have the ECW title, but an ECW Tag Team Title as well. A 'Thank You Snyder' chant comes out as Alan tells the crowd they deserve this and no thanks is needed.

- Near the end of WWE's comic con 2014 we get a match with Zack Poe and Rey Mysterio. The match was described as an intense 4 star match and surprised many. Poe won the match. After the match, Alan says he hopes everyone had fun and they will stick around for signings.
